Latest Skincare Discoveries

I added a lot of new skincare products into my routine in past couple of months and I have been loving some of them. So, I thought I should share the ones I have been loving lately.

Rodial Skincare stem cell cleansing Cream | £32 for 200 ml

This is a nourishing dual-action cream facial cleanser and mask for dehydrated skin with advanced stem cell technology, rose hip and vitamin E. This cleanser has the following key benefits:

  • Marula Oil: Anti-oxidant with fatty acids soften and condition the skin.
  • Stem Cell (PhytoCellTec Alp Rose Flower): Protects against environmental stress and helps improve the skin barrier function.
  • Coconut Oil: Helps to smooth the skin and rich in anti-oxidants and natural antibacterial agents.
  • Cocoa Butter: Cleanses whilst nourishing the skin.

This can be used as makeup remover but I like to use it as second cleanse or morning cleanser. I usually apply and leave it as a mask. This gives me nicely clean and nourished skin. My skin doesn’t feel tight after using this.

Dames & Dimes Cleansing Balm

Dames & Dimes Organic Chocolate Orange Cleansing Balm | £13.95 for 90 gms

This is the cleansing balm that is made with 100% Organic ingredients. It removes impurities, dirt & grime to reveal fresh, glowing and radiant youthful skin. This is a non-emulsifying product and is used as a second cleanser in your skincare routine. I like to use it after a foaming cleanser when my makeup is already removed. This rehydrates the skin with a thin layer of moisture and gives me a youthful glow. This smells amazing as well. This is a product that is not easy to get your hands on as this is always out of stock and is made in small batches I think. I know its from a small business but they are doing really well with such high quality product. You can even order a free sample to try and you just have to pay delivery charges. I am planning to buy a full size now. I recommend checking their Instagram page and following them to get notified when this cleansing balm comes back in stock.

DHC Skincare Facial Cleanser

*DHC Face Wash Facial Cleanser | £25.90 for 200 ml

This pearlescent DHC Face Wash liquid daily cleanser is ideal for sensitive or dry skin types, as it has a pH balance similar to that of your own complexion. It removes dirt and debris while maintaining skin’s defences against irritants. I like to use it after removing my makeup with DHC Deep Cleansing Oil or any other oil based cleanser. I feel this will work for normal and oily skin as well. This removes the residue left after oily cleansers.

*DHC Eye & Lip Makeup Remover | £10.90 for 120 ml

This makeup remover quickly and easily dissolve even the most stubborn, waterproof make-up. This is a two-layer cleanser that uses the dual power of water and oil, as well as emollient-rich cleansing agents, to remove pigment-rich eye and lip make-up. The make-up remover has a lightweight texture, which gently breaks up even waterproof cosmetics. This makeup remover contains conditioning cork tree extract, the remover works without stinging or weighing down your complexion, leaving you with softly cleansed skin.

Kiehls Creme de Corps | £18 for 125 ml

This is a super-enriched moisturising treatment for the body with Beta-Carotene for dry skin that needs extra care and moisture nourishment. It takes a little longer to soak in, but worth the wait. I use it for my face as well and it makes my skin so hydrating without clogging my pores. Makeup looks so fabulous if skin is well hydrated (ofcourse well exfoliated as well). Wayne Goss recommended this moisturiser to use before makeup and this definitely makes my skin look incredible. This is not tested on animals.

La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Masque

*La Roche Posay Hydraphase Intense Masque | £16 for 50ml

If your skin is dehydrated or sensitive, this mask is for you! This is a complementary step to your skincare routine, with high performance intensive hydration. This masque intensively hydrates, makes skin feel more soothed and comfortable, whilst improving the feel of the skin’s suppleness and softness. This product contains Hyaluronic Acid fragments as well as La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water. This product does not contain any fragrance or parabens. My husband loves this mask as well. He has got very dry, flaky skin and this mask is a blessing for his skin. I have combination to dry skin so I like to use this once a week for a pamper and to restore suppleness. Love this 🙂

*La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Ultra Light Fluid SPF 50+ | £16.50 for 50ml

Anthelios XL Ultra Light Fluid SPF 50+ from La Roche-Posay provides very high face sun protection for normal to combination skin. The non-greasy fluid is suitable for use on sensitive skin, helping to prevent the appearance of dark spots caused by the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays. I used to be little easy on sunscreen protection earlier because I didn’t want my makeup to mess up due to sticky heavy sunscreens that leave a white residue. This however has changed my perception as this is a very light fluid that sinks into skin without leaving the white nasty residue. It is suitable under makeup and works well for my sensitive and easily congested skin. I highly recommend checking this out. Its currently on offer at LookFantastic.com linked above.

La Roche Posay spf

*La Roche Posay Tolerane Ultra Fluide | £17.50 for 40ml

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Fluid is an ultra-soothing, non-oily day care that combines Neurosensine ( a strong soothing agent), that targets skin discomfort and La Roche Posay spring water, which is naturally soothing and comforting. This moisturiser intensely hydrates and soothes the skin. With regular use, skin feels soothed and long-lasting comfort is restored day after day. This has a non-oily, fresh fluid texture and it penetrates into skin instantly. This is suitable for normal to combination skin, intolerant or sensitive skin.

Merumaya Concentrated Spot Treatment

*Merumaya Concentrated Spot Treatment | £14.50 for 10ml

My skin is combination to dry and with good skincare it is usually clear. However, my eating habits are not very good and I have no control over my taste buds. You can see me eating every kind of junk food and that does affect skin sometimes. Also, I do get some spots during that time of the month. I have tried Herbal spot treatment by a very famous brand and it didn’t work for me. However, I am really impressed by this offering by Merumaya. It deals directly with the four symptoms associated with spots.

  • Helps to prevent dead skin cell creating blockages that cause spots
  • Helps to decrease the sebaceous gland activity, meaning less oil or sebum
  • Helps to decrease the bacteria that thrives in the excess sebum
  • Reduces the inflammation and redness
