Liquid lipsticks have been so popular lately and every brand has come up with their own version. I have recently added three new liquid lipsticks on to my collection and all three shades are different to each other.
- Gerard Cosmetics Hydra matte liquid lipstick – Everything Nice | £9.50 | Buy here
I had three gold lip bullets from this brand in the shades 1995, Rodeo Drive and Kiss & Tell which I bought directly from GC website. So, when hydra mattes were launched, i really wanted to try one. Glad Beauty Bay stocks them from quite some time now as buying from the United States and worry about customs and shipping can be a frustrating.
The packaging is a frosted glass looking plastic tube with glossy gold lid. The wand is normal doe-foot which is not extra-ordinary. It is Gluten and cruelty free which is a plus.
The shade ‘Everything Nice’ is a rose-tinted pale mocha with nude undertones. It’s peachy brown with a slight hint of rusty red, the perfect shade I like for my lips tbh! Price point wise it is quite affordable. The formula is very light, long lasting, anti-flaking and non drying. It is one of those lipsticks that you put on your lips and forget about it. Once set, it will not budge even with drinking and eating. These beautifully designed lip stains apply like a liquid, effortlessly supplying a tender coverage that dries to a matte finish. GC describes the formula as moisturizing and hydrating while giving a matte finish. This is a must have lipstick in your vanity! Also available on Cocktail Cosmetics.
- Stila Stay All day liquid lipstick – Patina | £16 | Buy here
This is a creamy-matte, full-coverage liquid lipstick that delivers intense moisture with bold and long-lasting colour. The texture is weightless on the lips and is very comfortable to wear. This lipstick stays in place for up to 6 hours of continuous wear even with drinking and eating. The colour-rich formula is enriched with Vitamin E and avocado oil that won’t bleed or transfer. These Liquid Lipstick hydrates and softens the lips so they look and feel beautiful! The applicator is plush doe foot and the packaging is luxurious with transparent clear tube and matte gold lid.
The shade ‘Patina’ is a stunning mauve shade which is beyond beautiful. Usually mauve tone liquid lipsticks look dark on my lips but this one is amazing. This is a perfect mauve that can be worn in any season. Its very opaque, smudge-proof and non-drying on my lips. I can’t wait to try more shades from this line. I highly recommend these.
- Dose of Colors – Truffle | £14.50 | Buy here
These are velvety matte finish liquid lipsticks which are very opaque and doesn’t dry out lips. The formula is very thin, liquidy and once set, these stay on for hours. These are very comfortable to wear. Eating greasy and oily foods might reduce the staying power of these lipsticks. These are Vegan, Cruelty-free, Paraben-free and Gluten-free. The packaging is a frosted clear plastic tube with white lid. The sponge applicator has a slightly different shape than my usual liquid lipstick applicators.
The shade ‘Truffle’ is lighter than I expected but still very pretty. It is a peachy nude with a hint of mocha that looks beautiful on lips. If peachy nudes wash you out, i would say lining with a warm brown or dark peach lip liner would make it super stunning for you. Rimmel spice liner is one of the beautiful shade that will go under this lipstick very well and make it flattering for all skin tones.
These lipsticks are very hard to get your hands on. These get out of stock very quickly on Beauty Bay, Cocktail Cosme as well as Dose of colors website.

I love all of these colours. I’ve wanted to try liquid lipsticks for a while but I’ve been a bit too nervous to take the plunge. Hopefully I’ll pluck up the courage soon!

Thanks for stopping by Elanor. Do give them a try, Im sure you’ll love it. May be try Nyx Soft matte first and then move on to comfortable liquid lipsticks as the transition wouldn’t be tough then.
I love the formula of the Gerard Cosmetics ones, I have the shade invasion and I love it. The Dose of Colours Truffle one looks like a stunning shade!

Truffle is indeed a stunning shade Emmy. I agree about formula of GC lipsticks. They are super comfortable and almost like undetectable when worn. I need to check shade invasion. I can’t wait to buy more shades. Serenity is also on my list.
I am not a fan of liquid lipsticks but these sound great. I like MAC and Bobbi Brown lipsticks the most.

OMG Iqra, Everything NIce is such a stunning shade that I can wear all round the year. You’re right this shade complements our medium skin tone. I think Truffle would look nice on you. Though i thought it would be slightly darker than what it is but its still beautiful.
