Makeup Revolution Palettes have always been a big hit in my books. I have used their palettes before and pigmentation is great for their shadows and are usually buildable in most palettes which is great. Their eyeshadows blend beautifully and these shades are great for gothic eye looks or a good smokey eye. I love to use a kohl or black pencil liner on my lid before using such dark shades as black gives a great base for an intense look.
- I <3 Makeup Brows Kit – Bold is Best
Brows frame your face so its important to have a good brow kit to keep your brows tip top. Makeup Revolution’s I <3 Makeup Bold is Best brow kit is a handy mini kit that not only contains the colours to pack a punch to your brows, but also a wax to set and seal and mini tweezers to perfect your arch. The kit comes in three shades and the Bold is Best is perfect for darker brows. This kit has shades varying from Dark Taupe, Brown to Dark Grey and a wax to set the brows in place. The kit is so handy for travel and is perfect to touch up brows on the go.
- Baked Mono Eyeshadow – Galactic & Limitless
The mystery gift also came with couple of gorgeous baked eyeshadows by Makeup Revolution. Formula is baked instead of pressed which makes for an ultra-smooth application. Baked eyeshadows also allows the product to be used wet or dry. When using dry, provides traditional eye shadow color to lids. When using wet, it increases the color payoff for a more dramatic look and it also increases its staying power.
Galactic is a beautiful combination of dark brown and 2 different shades of gold bringing you a beautiful bronzed brown.
Limitless has 3 different shades of gold in this pan – light gold, medium gold and a dark bronze shade but altogether you get a fantastic copper shade that looks absolutely stunning dry or wet!
These two eyeshadows are perfect for upcoming party season!
- Lipstick – Dare & The One
The lipsticks by Makeup Revolution come with colour coded caps which makes them easier to find. They feels very light on lips ..almost like you forget you’re wearing a lipstick. The texture is smooth and feels very comfortable. It glides without tug and stays for about 3 hours with light meals.
Dare is a great dupe for Mac Ruby Woo which is a cult classic red! Its a matte formula that barely transfers and is a gorgeous shade that suits all skin tones, has great staying power and fades evenly.
The One is a N*de shade and looks great with smokey eyes or dark eye makeup. If you have hyper-pigmentation on your lips like me, you can use a darker liner underneath.
