Loving Lately | Friends in February

VLC sun matte bronzerI feel February just vanished with the blink of eyes. It has been super busy as I had to couple of events in this short month plus some personal stuff too. I am sharing my favourites for February in this post today. I have been trying loads of products recently but I have not included the new skincare in this post as they should be given some more time for a proper test before I share my opinion. However, couple of new makeup made to the faves.

Zoeva Cosmetics – Matte Eyeshadow Palette | Eur 21.80

This is the first eyeshadow palette in my collection which has only mattes. The reason to get this directly from Zoeva Website and get it delivered from Germany was the beautiful selection of warm shades. The mustard, orange and browns are definitely my cup of tea. This is my first Zoeva palette and I am so glad I got this as this is still not available to purchase in the UK. The palette is permanent and will be available at some point in the UK.

The eyeshadows have great pigmentation and are very easy to blend. They have vitamin E which makes the texture of eyeshadows so soft and beautiful. I will share a detailed post soon but here are the swatches.

*Vincent Longo Sun Matte Bronzer – Sun Kissed | Post | £25

This is a beautiful bronze-contour-in-one kind of product that looks amazing on my skin. This is available in two shades Sun-kissed and Sun-drenched. I have ‘Sun-kissed’ which is suitable for light to medium skin tones and The ‘Sun-Drenched’ is suitable for olive and deeper complexions. This is matte bronzer that looks fabulous on skin. This blends beautifully and looks natural on skin. I have a detailed blog post featuring this bronzer (here) along with swatches and comparisons with other bronzers. This is now available exclusively at Feelunique for 1 month. Make sure you get your hands on this newest launch.

Vincent Longo Duo lip liner

*Vincent Longo duo lip pencil – Roseberry & Spring Rose | Post

I really like the idea of these duo lip liners which have complimentary shades on either ends. The pencils are creamy, very pigmented and lasts for a long time. It doesn’t dry out my lips and the shade range is beautiful too. My current fave is Roseberry and Spring Rose. Roseberry is a beautiful plum berry toned pink but on softer side. It is very similar to the cult Mac Soar. Spring Rose is another soft pink but this one comes in a shimmer/frosty finish. Its such a gorgeous combination and will be liked by many.

This Works in transit camera close up | £30

This is a multi-task product and is a handbag essential. This acts as a mask, moisturiser and primer all in one product. It is very hydrating, keeps your foundation in place for longer and doesn’t leave any residue.

This high-performance Superblend features Bio Boost – the unique blend of anti-oxidant plant oils- to rebuild and protect the skin barrier, along with hydrating Hyaluronic Acid and Caffeine to rebalance and revitalise.

I got a deluxe size sample last year and it lasted me well. I really liked the product so grabbed another deluxe size from another beauty boxes.

*DHC Liquid Eyeliner Ex-Black | £16

Honestly I didn’t know DHC (A Japanese Beauty Brand) does makeup too. I have been seeing their skincare products quite a lot online. I will be doing a detailed post on other DHC products I have tried separately. But for makeup, you don’t really need much time to decide if it will make it to favourites. I have been using this liner continuously for more than 2 weeks now and OMG I don’t think I can go to any other pen liner. Its so easy to make a wing/flick with this. This has a thin brush like tip and is very pigmented. The liner is easily controllable so there are less chances of mistakes. The formula is long lasting and water-resistant. Some other waterproof liners can be shiny but this one dries to a matte finish which I love. I can easily compare this liner to the cult favourite Kat Von D Tattoo Liner so Trust me its NOT joke! I highly recommend checking this out. Available at DHC UK, FeelUnique, LookFantastic and more.

*Klurskin x Urban Outfitters Hyaluronic Tonic + Rose serum| Limited Edition (Discontinued)

Lesley Thornton created Klurskin with the belief that makeup always looks better over good skin. With that philosophy, she creates a range of non-toxic facial treatments that clean, clear & nourish your skin. Last year just before Christmas, I was kindly sent the limited edition set along with some other goodies to try by the lovely team at Urban Outfitters US.

A light weight daily replenishing serum for all skin types, hyaluronic acid plumps and fills skin while stable 20% vitamin C and rose hip seed oil delivers antioxidant protection. Upon skin contact this weightless serum absorbs up into skin leaving behind absolutely no trace of residue, oil, or surface film. Specifically formulated to layer with oils, moisturizer, or night cremes/treatment for an enhanced facial ritual.

As the serum is so gentle and keeps my skin hydrated yet brings brightness to my skin, I really wanted to know more about the product. The ingredients list was on the outer packaging which I lost so Lesley herself provided me the required information. The only thing I would like to change about the product will be packaging as I would like details about product printed onto the product itself and not just outer packaging.

Here’s ingredients list:

Organic Aloe , Vitamin C 20% , Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Rose Geranium Leaf Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Panthenol/Vitamin B5, Rosa Damascena Flower Extract, Organic Gotu Kola, Dandelion Extract, Amino Acids, Rose-Hip Seed Oil, Lemongrass Extract, Vitamin E, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin

Directions– Apply every other day to clean damp skin, follow with oil or moisturizer.  Can be worn under spf, makeup, or any of your favorite facials oils.

I believe she will be either recreating the same product or making something very similar that works for all skin types very soon.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing gel | £30

There is no surprise with this moisturizer being my favourite. I use this every single day/night and is always seen on my Instagram posts. Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel is oil-free and non-comedogenic. It gives you the lightweight hydration without oiliness so your skin feels smoother, softer and more comfortable. This doesn’t leave any residue and keeps your skin moisturized. This formulation is perfect for combination to oily skin. This can be applied before makeup as this gets absorbed quickly and makeup sits beautifully on well moisturized skin. I highly recommend checking this out.
