nudi clay mask first impression

Hello Loves,

Hope you’re well.

If you’re following me on instagram, then you might be aware that I tested the Coconut and Clay mask sent out to me by Nudi (@Nudilife on Instagram) recently. Nudi is a new skincare company based in the UK and is completely cruelty free and vegan friendly.  Nudi uses the power of coconut oil for their skincare products. They sent out good size samples to their followers in the UK last month which is very kind of them and is a very good marketing approach. They also asked their followers to post pictures on Instagram with their mask on and tag #nudilife or #getnudi 🙂

The smell is divine. Seriously, it is very indulging and gives a feeling of Spa. I personally was very excited to try a clay mask which has coconut oil to make sure the clay mask will not rip off moisture out of my already-dehydrated skin. However, when I first applied it on my face, it did not spread evenly. It was super difficult to work with and was patchy. That may be due to the fact that the sample was sent out in a pot container and not in a tube. The clay masks I otherwise use are sold in tubes which helps to seal moisture. Seriously as a mommy of a toddler, I prefer quick fix for my skin.

After application it began to give sensation of a mint mask on my skin. But I waited until it dried completely which was quick. My skin looked clean and pores appeared a bit smaller.

So, I did a second application but this time I added 2-3 drops of almond oil in the mask, and guess what? It still did not spread evenly 🙁 I don’t know if it was just me who didn’t use the sample straight away when received and the mask dried a bit in a week’s time or there is something not right with the ratio of the ingredients. I would like to try a tube version of the mask (if they do any) and see if it was just that sample that was not a total hit from my side or its the formula.

Pros

  • Smells Amazing
  • Skin looks clean and pores look smaller

Cons

  • Uneven application
  • Patchy

  1. Ohh, I’ve been on the lookout for new face masks to try lately, so thank you for this recommendation! <3 This one sounds pretty good although it's a shame that it ended up a little patchy. Sounds like it's worth getting just for the amazing fragrance, though! x You have a lovely blog, btw. 🙂 x Kisses. x x

    1. Thanks for reading lovely. Yes, It is worth getting for the incredible smell and it cleans the skin as well. I confirmed with some of my friends who received this sample, just to make sure if the patchyness was with my sample or with everyone. First application is smooth if u use it in a day or two of receiving this. When you use it after few days, it gets difficult to work with. It’s definitely a issue with open pots and should work well if it comes in a tube.
I can’t wait to read your blog posts tonight. Thanks ♥

      1. By the way hun, I tagged you in the beauty lover tag on my blog – hope that’s okay! 🙂 x

        1. Aww thank you Kay, I will do that tag 🙂

  2. Hey hun!

I completely agree with you – although this left my face so clean and smelt so lovely, the weird patchy application and the overall texture is not to my liking xxx
