For me summer is all about glow, radiance and fabulous skin. My makeup is minimal for most days but I do make sure my skin looks dewy and I have glow on my skin. To know about my current summer makeup favourites, keep on reading :)
If you are after that lit-from-within kind of glow, look no further! This primer by Becca Cosmetics is a game changer. This primer creates a diffused, soft-focused radiance that blurs imperfections and allows your complexion to catch light in the most gorgeous way. I like to team this up with cc cream or foundation and it just makes my base look dewy and healthy. Loreal Paris Lumi Magique primer from drugstore is a great alternative if you’re looking for something similar but cheaper.
- The Ordinary Lightweight Serum Foundation – 2.1Y Medium | £5.70 for 30 ml
The famous sold out with waiting list serum foundation from The Ordinary has very liquid-y consistency but is very concentrated in terms of pigmentation. This gives sheer coverage with very dewy finish. This foundation can be applied with fingers and these blend very easily. You need to shake the bottle well before using this. I prefer medium coverage foundations most of the year but this offering from The Ordinary with sheer coverage works great for summers when I am more inclined towards glow and dewy finish. Shade 2.1Y is great for medium skin with yellow undertones.
- Pixi Beauty Sheer Cheek Gel* | £14
Sheer gel blush creates a natural looking and long-lasting cheek flush to brighten & beautify your complexion in an instant. These are available in 3 shades – Flushed, Rosy and Natural. These blushes can be worn alone for a super natural look or under powder blush for extra staying power. These are such lovely natural blushes that look so pretty on skin. The fact that these come in 3 shades, there is definitely something for everyone. I like wearing them alone on morning school runs or for supermarket runs but layer them with powder blushes for special occasions or when I am wearing full face of makeup. Plus these do not require makeup brushes.
This highlighter is the newest highlighter in my collection. This is bright gold and looks absolutely stunning on medium skin. Its perfect for summers when the skin has a bit of bronze and tan. This highlighter uses unique Prisma Shine patented technology and combines the best of powder, liquid, baked and cream formulas for an unparalleled radiance. If you have lighter or pale skin, you can go for other two shades (Blinded by the Light or Ray of Light) of prismatic highlighter.
- Rosie for Autograph eyeshadow sticks* | £12.50
The exclusive Rosie for Autograph make up range has been developed in collaboration with Rosie Huntington Whiteley. These cream Eyeshadow glides on smoothly, and blends easily to deliver intense colour with a non-tacky, crease resistant and long-lasting metallic finish. The shade Almond Eyes is a beautiful champagne shade and is perfect for day look and Movie Star Crush is a gorgeous smokey shade with a touch of purple. These eyeshadows glide like silk and remain smudge-free all day. I highly recommend trying these out.
If you want a good mascara that provides volume and the look of false lashes and keep your lashes curled all day/night, you need this mascara. - Sleek Matte Me Metallic lipsticks* | £4.99
Sleek Matte Me liquid lipsticks are not new but the metallics range was launched recently. This range has cream formula which is matte but very comfortable. These last long even with eating. You might need to top these up after say 4-5 hours or so but the comfortable lip creams that have matte finish is what everyone desires! The shade selection is great so there’s definitely something for everyone. I use these over my regular lipsticks or you can use these over original Matte Me lipsticks. These are perfect for summer and is great for embracing metallic lip trend. Roman Copper is an Amber shade with bronze tone and is my favorite from the range.
OMG this is perfection! Everyone talks about this multi award winning hero i-gloss that provides an instant, comfortable, high shine colour. i-gloss comes in signature mirrored light up case which is perfect if you’re on-the go. This is my favourite lip product and I see myself carrying this everywhere.
These lip glosses are enriched with vitamin E to nourish and protect lips. This gel based formulation gives a lightweight, cushioning effect on the lips that has incredible staying power without feeling sticky. The shade spice berry is a gorgeous deep peachy brown that looks fabulous on most skin tones.
- Cover Fx Illuminating Spray* | £22
This alcohol-free dual-purpose mist instantly illuminates the complexion and also locks in makeup while imparting luminosity. The ultra-fine mist application delivers an even, luminous finish making this a perfect all-over highlighter for both face and body– and the more you mist, the more intense you glow. This mist has replaced all setting sprays in my collection and I see myself purchasing this over and over again when I run out. This is a must-have if you like glow.

Its such a nice everyday foundation. I like it for sheer coverage but I have also noticed that my skin needs to be well exfoliated as sheer foundations focus more on your skin . what else is on your wishlist from the Ordinary?
