Balenciaga Paris from the House of Balenciaga

When we talk florals, we generally associate them with romantic settings, delicate, charming, and what not! Balenciaga Paris from the house of Balenciaga is a chypre floral fragrance but it is not romantic by any means. It is a very green floral fragrance. The fragrance has a dose of both urban and traditional elements with some nuances of metal effect.

Balenciaga Paris was created in 2010 – yes over a decade ago but the bottle design is very chic and elegant. It looks timeless and so is the juice! The fragrance was created by the perfumer Olivier Polge.

Packaging: The fragrance comes in a very architectural bottle. Flacon is made of clear/transparent glass body, shaped like a cathedral or an Arch, and decorated with a stopper with a marble or crackle ceramic look – slightly vintage looking and reminds of old vases from the 18th century. Fragrance Balenciaga Paris is available as 30, 50 and 75ml Eau de Parfum concentration.

Fragrance Family: Chypre Floral

Composition: Spices, Labdanum, Violet, Vetiver, Bergamot, Patchouli, Carnation, Cedar, Pepper

This fragrance is all about Violets – sweet, woody, dry, sheer, and powdery. There is some bitterness in the beginning. Violet Leaf has a bit of spiciness to it. It is a very refined and light fragrance. The violets used here are very high quality.

Performance: This fragrance does not project a lot. It is a soft, elegant and discreet fragrance that stays contained. It stays close to the skin for about 5 hours and gradually becoming skin scent.

Final Thoughts: Balenciaga Paris is a discreet and contained fragrance – very sophisticated and grownup! If you love powdery, floral perfumes, you would love this violet fragrance. It is very tender and has a minimalism elegance to it. I would wear it for a walk to a park or a brunch date on a warm spring day. I would also wear this fragrance for bed even if it is not a gourmand. It is an intimate scent that stays close to the skin. Anyone close to you can smell this. My husband likes this fragrance on me and compliments whenever I wear this. There won’t be any “turning heads” kind of moment. This is a quiet beauty and women with sophisticated taste would wear love to this unique floral scent.
