Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense

Dolce & Gabbana’s cult fragrance Light Blue was launched back in 2001 which was based on the joy of living the light blue Mediterranean life. D&G Light blue has a blend of rose, apple, musk and jasmine but it is a moderate fragrance. The brand launched intense version of the fragrance called Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Eau Intense in 2017 with a slight twist for a more intense escape into the Mediterranean blue.

By the way, have you checked the Ad Campaign for this fragrance? David Gandy looks absolutely hot and the location is spectacular cliffs at the Faraglioni in the Mediterranean Sea in Capri, Italy.

Dolce & Gabbana Eau Intense Review - Ms Tantrum Blog

The fragrance comes in a fresh blue velvety-suede finish card box that looks very chic. The bottle itself is a frosted glass that looks gorgeous sitting on dresser or perfume shelf.

The fragrance opens with a tangy sharp, addictive duo of scents: luminous lemon and crisp green apple. With its fruity and floral facets, elegant marigold blends this accord into heart notes: a wave of glowing, heady jasmine petals. Its signature dry down of lustrous amber woods and precious musks melts into sun-kissed skin, unfurls into a vibrant, sensuously scented wake.

Lemon, Granny Smith Apple

Light Blue Eau Intense is more than a scent, it is the aura of Mediterranean beauty.

Eau Intense reduces the intensity of citrus notes and enhances the floral notes of the composition.

Honestly it may smell like a bit of aftershave at first but the dry down is very fresh and soothing. First reaction from my husband was it smells like an aftershave when I spritz this fragrance but it quickly turned into a refreshing scent.

Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Intense

Master perfumers Olivier Cresp and Alberto Morillas wrote a new chapter of the Light Blue saga with Light Blue Eau Intense. These two fragrances, Light Blue Eau Intense and Light Blue Eau Intense pour Homme (also from this collection) are more intense than ever. These fragrances renew the sensual freshness of Light Blue unique accents, turning them a deeper shade of Mediterranean blue.

The fragrance comes in 25 ml, 50 ml & 100 ml sizes and can be purchased from Notino.

Overall thoughts

If you like wearing fresh fragrances, this is for you! D&G Light Blue is amazing too but the intensity and longevity is not that great. This Eau Intense from D&G is improved in terms of longevity and has staying power of almost 24 hours in colder months. I am yet to test this in summers but I have high hopes with this and am sure I will be wearing this often. The fragrance lingers on to my skin all day long.

Until next time
