Hello peeps,

If you’re from the UK, you must be aware of the Boots Botanics skincare range. Today I am talking about soothing eye makeup remover from Botanics All Bright range. The main reason of my inclination towards this range is that the company used the power of plants as the main ingredients of their products.

Packaging: This make-up remover comes in a clear plastic bottle with tight lid which makes it travel friendly (even though it doesn’t come with an extra barrier plastic with hole insert unlike other liquid cleansers which can be little annoying).

Power of plants: This bottle says it is developed with Kew Royal Botanic Gardens (which says quite a lot). Kew Gardens is the world’s largest collection of living plants. Kew Gardens, together with the botanic gardens at Wakehurst Place in Sussex, are managed by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (brand name Kew), an internationally important botanical research and education institution sponsored by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. This cleanser uses the Natural AHA’s from hibiscus flower. Hibiscus is nature’s brightness booster and the natural AHA’s from its flower act as mild exfoliators to help leave skin smoother and brighter. This makeup remover is paraben-free.

Texture: This is a two-phase (oil + water) eye make up remover that uses dual layer technology. The oil phase effectively sweeps away impurities and makeup, dissolving waterproof formulations with ease, while aqueous phase helps to soothe and calm the skin. The texture is quite runny / almost watery after shaking the bottle well.

How to Use: Shake vogorously to activate the cleanser. Apply to a cotton wool pad and gently massage over closed eyes in sweeping movements.

You will see the makeup melting in just one swipe. This is the reason I use this eye makeup remover all over my face and not just sticking to my eyes. As you know eye area is very sensitive so eye makeup removers are gentle but more effective(for removing waterproof mascaras and liners) in comparison to the face makeup remover. So I sometimes prefer to use eye makeup remover on my whole face. This does not dry up my face and is very gentle to use even when i have breakouts.

Price & Availability: Priced at £3.99 for 150ml which in my opinion is so affordable for a good cleanser. Available from Boots.

Overall Rating: 4.2/5

Will I repurchase? Yes, definitely. As much as I love to try new products I would be buying this over and over again 🙂
