MONTALE Intense Coffee

Montale Intense Cafe Eau de Parfum

Pierre Montale used to create fragrances for the Royal Family of Saudi Arabia and decided to introduce the Western World to the magic of Arabian Scents. He then returned to Paris to launch his own niche fragrance brand Montale in 2003.

About the Fragrance: Montale Intense Cafe was launched in 2013 and was created by Pierre Montale. This is the first fragrance I tried from the brand and oh my, I need them all now! This fragrance comes in Eau de Parfum concentration and is quite a popular pick in the Fragrance Community for all good reasons that I have shared in this post.

Packaging: This fragrance comes in tin packaging. I have a 50ml bottle that comes in a little gold tin with a stopper/clip. The full-size 100ml bottle comes in deep purple shade tin. The tin comes with a pouch which also looks really nice for travel.

Fragrance Type: This is an Oriental Vanilla Gourmand Fragrance for both men and women. I like this more for women due to the floral touch.

Notes:

  • Top notes: Floral Notes
  • Middle notes: Rose
  • Base notes: White Musk, Amber, Vanilla
MONTALE Intense Cafe

Floral at the top, Rose and Coffee at the heart and Amber, Vanilla & White Musk at the base. You get a burst of roses in the beginning and then a milky, creamy coffee takes over. As the fragrance dries down, you get a big dose of vanilla and a beautiful white musk. Amber is at the back foot. The concoction of Rose and Milky Coffee is absolutely beautiful. If you like the smell of Coffee, this fragrance is a must-try for you!

Performance: This is a cold-weather fragrance with a strong projection and superb longevity! Less is more with this fragrance. Two sprays of this fragrance will last you over 15 hours which is one of the most long-lasting fragrances in my collection.

Final Thoughts: This fragrance has a likeability factor. Even if you’re not into rose fragrances, you may really like this one. This is a very cozy and easy to wear fragrance and has a comforting aura to it. Imagine a stay-in kinda cozy evening scent. Performance-wise, it is a star! Though there are a lot of Gifts for Women available, I feel this little fragrance tin would make a beautiful stocking filler (if you plan to gift a luxury item) for her.

Until next time, Ashh xo

  1. It sounds fantastic Ashh and I love that you say it has longevity. There are so many fragrances that I have tried that smell good… for 5 minutes and then it is gone!

I’ve been stuck using the same fragrance for about 15 years and I’m itching to try something new.

  2. Montale Intense Cafe Eau de Parfum has such a unique and gorgeous tin bottle packaging. The pouch is beautiful too. I like that it is a comforting fragrance and not too heady and strong. Would like to check it out. Thanks for your recommendation, Akanksha.

  3. I have to say I am not a rose fragrance kind of girl but I do love to try new scents. And what did you say? 15 hours? Wow, I haven’t seen one that last this long in years… I feel like most of them are just some more expensive eau de toilette variations these days.

It’s amazing how perfumes can have so many layers. I have never smelled a perfume with coffee fragrance before. This sounds like an interesting mix of rose and coffee, with other underlying scents. I love the packaging as well.
