With increased indoors time, we are hooked to our screens more than ever. Not only this, our sleeping pattern has also changed in the past one year. Results? Dark Circles!!! The NEW Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream from REN Skincare combines 95% natural-origin ingredients to visibly reduce dark circles after just 7 days. Yes, you read it right! This cream claims to reduce the appearance of dark circles in just 7 days!! The irritation-free formula is suitable for all eyes.
The key ingredients are Glycogen which helps to retain moisture in the skin, and Elderberry Flower Extract which is an excellent antioxidant. This helps fight free radicals which can be the cause of dark circles and puffiness. The bio-actives in this eye cream work to brighten, hydrate and plump the look of the entire eye area.
The packaging is air-free pump container made with recyclable plastic and it also keeps the product fresh and prevents from oxidizing. REN skincare has been making constant efforts towards sustainability for quite some time now and I am loving that the brand aims towards zero waste. The ingredients are vegan and cruelty-free (PeTA approved).
Texture: This is a rich cream with slightly thick texture but it spreads and sinks into the skin easily. The pump dispenses right amount enough for both eyes. Though it is not tinted, it gives a slight radiance to the under eyes making them look bright instantly. It can be used both am and pm. I didn’t experience any piling issues when used under my makeup. I do my skincare first and wait for it to sink in before starting my makeup. Makeup looks so much better if skin is hydrated and this eye cream works brilliantly under makeup!
My thoughts: I have been really enjoying this eye cream. I won’t say it has transformed my under eyes and diminished my dark circles completely. That may be due to my age or other factors. However, it does keep the skin around my eyes nourished, plump and bright. As a mum of a 4 month old baby, my sleeping pattern has changed and I do not get 8 hour sleep every night. This eye cream reduces the look of tired-looking eyes and keep them hydrated. It is made with clean ingredients and is a joy to use!
