Asian skincare has been doing really good in beauty world lately. When I first saw images of Bio-essence gold water getting viral on social media, I didn’t know anything about the brand. My friend Google told me that this range is originally from Singapore and has expanded to many countries including Malaysia, Hongkong, Japan & Australia. The range is now available in the UK drugstores particularly Superdrug. I was intrigued by Bio Essence products because of 24K Bio Gold as main ingredient. Excitement level got high as it was affordable but does it really work? Continue reading if you would like to know 🙂
I tried three products from the range and the first thing that I was curious about was gold in the skincare. I know Gold is for radiance and glow but I was pretty interested in 24K Bio Gold. These 3 products contain Colloidal Gold which is a suspension of pure gold particles in water or fluid. Some luxury brands have been using 24K gold in their skincare but the products are obviously very expensive.
Why Colloidal Gold is good for your skin?
Colloidal gold is known for its ability to heal micro-damage, making it an ideal skincare ingredient for those with sensitive, sun damaged and acne scarred skin. Colloidal gold is absorbed through the skin and helps stimulate blood circulation, increasing enzyme activity, restoring and reconstructing the damaged cells. It also eliminate biological contaminants generated by the body and encapsulated in clogged pores which is one of the causes of tired, prematurely aged and dull skin.
